About The Position

Timmons Group is currently seeking an experienced Land Development Project Manager to join their growing team in Virginia Beach, VA. This role is for individuals passionate about civil engineering, client success, and mentoring future talent. As a Project Manager, you will take ownership of exciting land development projects from concept through construction. The company assists clients with zoning entitlements, civil site plan approvals, and construction administration support. Project engineers typically work in a team of 2-3 design engineers and a project manager. The complexity and fast-paced nature of client needs creates a dynamic environment that fosters teamwork, diverse training opportunities, and a sense of ownership in project outcomes.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
Active P.E. license in Virginia, and/or one or more states in which Timmons Group conducts business (or ability to obtain).
6–10 years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on land development.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects, budgets, and schedules simultaneously.
Strong client relationship and business development skills.
Proficiency in Civil 3D and other relevant design software.

Responsibilities

Leading and mentoring junior engineers and technical staff.
