About The Position

The Thrasher Group is seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join their Civil Engineering team. This role involves contributing to a variety of public and private infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater systems, site development, and transportation. The position offers the opportunity to grow technical skills under the guidance of experienced senior engineers. It is a hands-on role with real project responsibility and a clear path for professional development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

• 1–5 years of relevant civil engineering experience (internship experience counts)
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation, or similar design software
• Experience with water/wastewater design or municipal infrastructure
• PE licensure or active progress toward licensure
• Knowledge of WV and Mid-Atlantic regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering design, analysis, and calculations for civil infrastructure projects including water/wastewater systems, stormwater, roadways, and site development
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, and technical reports
• Assist with project management tasks including schedule tracking, client communications, and coordination with subconsultants and contractors
• Conduct site visits, field investigations, and construction observation as needed
• Support permitting and regulatory submissions with state and federal agencies
• Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, architects, and surveyors
• Contribute to the preparation of proposals and scopes of work
