About The Position

Timmons Group is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Project Engineer III to join their Land Development team in Columbia, SC. This role will contribute to a wide range of land development projects, including residential neighborhoods, commercial developments, and public spaces. The ideal candidate will be a high energy, creative, flexible, patient, self-starter committed to the company's Vision, Mission, and Shared Values.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in land development engineering, including residential, commercial, or mixed-use projects.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and/or other CAD software.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Nice To Haves

• EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designing site layouts, grading, utilities, and stormwater systems using Civil 3D and other modeling tools.
• Performing engineering calculations and solving real-world design challenges.
• Preparing technical specifications and construction documents.
• Conducting research and writing objective reports to support project completion.
• Assisting with cost estimates and construction planning.
• Supporting field inspections and data collection.
• Collaborating with clients, internal teams, and senior engineers to deliver high-quality results.
