Civil Project Engineer II - Stormwater

Timmons Group is seeking an experienced Project Engineer II to join their Stormwater Group in the Richmond, Virginia office. Requirements
- B.S. degree in civil engineering or equivalent with work experience.
- 3 to 6+ years’ experience in environmental/civil engineering including experience in stream and wetland restoration design.
- A demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
- Working knowledge of CADD software.
- Understanding of stormwater management, erosion and sediment control.
Nice To Haves
- EIT preferred.
- Civil 3D preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to investigate storm drainage issues and support stormwater management designs.
- Provide engineering assistance for the design of best management practices (BMPs), low impact development (LID) solutions, natural stream restoration, and other stormwater related projects.
- Provide technical expertise and check accuracy of all completed work.
- Assure that a QA/QC review is completed at the appropriate stages of each project.
- Prepare project specifications to include materials, installation, inspection and payment of items specific to a project.
- Conduct background research on technical issues and write clear reports and memorandums.
- Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems.
- Assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates.
- Complete field observation, inspection and data collection duties as directed
- Communicate with clients and internal design team as directed by the Project Manager.
