Timmons Group is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Civil Project Engineer I candidate for our Richmond, VA office. This role is an entry-level position focused on civil engineering projects within various groups such as Land Development, Traffic Analysis & Planning, Structure & Bridge, and Renewable Energy. Requirements
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related degree with coursework in land development, and/or water resources preferred.
- EIT preferred.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred.
Responsibilities
- Design project components using AutoCAD Civil 3D and other industry-standard software.
- Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems.
- Research and prepare material specifications, installation guidelines, and inspection protocols.
- Work to complete design details and plan sets.
- Complete field observation, inspection and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staff.
- Collaborate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staff.
- Contribute to cost estimates and technical reports that drive project success.
