About The Position

These opportunities are focused on civil litigation defense, general liability, workers' compensation, insurance defense, premises/auto matters, and regional defense litigation. Candidates must have relevant experience, be comfortable with discovery, motions, depositions, and client reporting, possess relevant bar admission, and be able to manage deadlines and caseloads. These roles are not suitable for transactional-only attorneys, candidates with no litigation exposure, attorneys who do not want insurer/carrier-facing work, or candidates seeking plaintiff-only practices. The roles are grouped because the same candidate audience could reasonably match more than one opening.

Requirements

  • Civil litigation, insurance defense, workers' compensation, or general liability experience.
  • Comfortable with discovery, motions, depositions, and client reporting.
  • Relevant bar admission.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and caseloads.
  • Interest in defense-side practice.
  • Active bar admission required in applicable jurisdiction.
  • 0-5 years post-bar experience (for Workers' Compensation Attorney role).
  • 2-6 years of experience (for General Liability Defense Associate role).
  • 1-5 years of experience (for Workers' Compensation Defense Attorney role).

Responsibilities

  • Manage civil litigation defense cases, including general liability, workers' compensation, insurance defense, premises/auto matters, and regional defense litigation.
  • Conduct discovery, prepare motions, take depositions, and manage client reporting.
  • Manage deadlines and caseloads effectively.
  • Handle insurance defense litigation, catastrophic injury defense, law & motion, and trial preparation.
  • Manage workers' compensation defense caseloads, including depositions, mediations, and administrative hearings/trials.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships with carriers, employers, and government entities.
  • Ensure billable output and utilize paperless case management systems.
  • Handle premises liability and auto liability defense.
  • Perform carrier reporting.
