About The Position

The firm has openings for defense litigators in practice areas including Employment, Complex Commercial, Construction, Healthcare, Professional Liability, Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith, Environmental, Toxic Tort, Product Liability, and General Liability. Candidates with at least two years of experience are sought, though applicants at all experience levels are welcome. Attorneys will work in a collaborative, collegial environment with access to professional development and mentorship. Requirements

Licensed and admitted to practice in the State of Missouri.
Strong litigation, writing, and persuasive speaking skills.
Strong academic background and proven research skills.
Driven team player and self-starter able to handle assignments with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

At least two years of experience; applicants at all experience levels are welcome.
Admission to practice in Illinois is preferred.
Trial experience is preferred but not required.
Experience in one or more of the listed practice areas, including Employment, Complex Commercial, Construction, Healthcare, Professional Liability, Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith, Environmental, Toxic Tort, Product Liability, and General Liability.

Responsibilities

Handle civil defense litigation assignments with minimal supervision.
Participate in client interactions and handle appearances at hearings, depositions, and trials.
Conduct legal research and prepare written and persuasive oral advocacy.
