About The Position

Certified Site Safety of NY LLC is actively seeking an experienced Civil Inspector to support major infrastructure and environmental projects throughout New York City. This role is critical to ensuring construction activities are executed in full compliance with contract documents, regulatory requirements, and safety standards. As a key on-site representative, you will monitor field operations, maintain detailed documentation, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders to uphold the highest levels of quality and safety.

Requirements

Minimum 10 years in civil construction, inspection, or engineering
At least 4 years of experience on NYC DEP projects
Active OSHA 30-Hour certification (issued or renewed within the past 5 years)
Proficiency in e-Builder or comparable construction/project management software
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

2+ years working on wastewater treatment infrastructure
Associate degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

Responsibilities

Inspect ongoing construction activities to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and shop drawings
Prepare accurate and detailed Daily Inspection Reports (DIRs), including labor, work progress, and material quantities
Review and maintain Time & Material (T&M) records for accuracy and payment verification
Utilize e-Builder (or similar platforms) to monitor schedules, milestones, and project performance
Serve as a liaison between owners, contractors, utility companies, and regulatory agencies
Promote and enforce strict adherence to OSHA standards and site-specific safety protocols
