About The Position

Haider Engineering P.C. is seeking a Civil Inspector for a PANY&NJ project located at 1160 McLester Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07201. The role involves performing construction inspections throughout all project phases, preparing detailed reports, identifying and documenting extra work, and ensuring compliance with project requirements and safety standards.

Requirements

10+ years of construction inspection experience on projects ranging from $500K to $5M+.
Ability to interpret construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
Experience preparing inspection reports, daily logs, and contract records.
Experience reviewing payment applications and documenting extra work.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
Knowledge of construction safety regulations and practices.
Ability to obtain and maintain TWIC and facility access credentials.
Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

Perform construction inspections throughout all project phases.
Prepare daily reports, inspection records, and contract documentation.
Identify and document extra work; notify the RE/ARE as needed.
Develop extra work estimates and supporting records.
Review plans and specifications for constructability issues.
Evaluate contractor pay applications for accuracy and reasonableness.
Coordinate inspections across multiple work sites.
Verify work quality and compliance with project requirements.
Monitor and enforce construction safety standards.
Coordinate construction activities, closures, and utility shutdowns with facility staff.
