The Civil Engineering Department of AECOM’s Transportation Business Line is actively seeking an Entry-Level Civil/Highway Engineer to be based in our Newark, DE office. Under the supervision of a Project Engineer, the appropriately qualified applicant will be part of a design team responsible for designing small to large-scale highway projects such as roadway rehabilitation/safety improvement projects, intersection improvements/optimizations, and interstate/limited access highway widening/reconstruction. Design responsibilities include horizontal/vertical geometry, pavement design, 3D modeling, intersections/interchanges design, traffic control/staging, signing and pavement markings design, ADA, Pedestrian and Bicycle design, etc. Current notable projects include Airport Road Extension in Rehoboth Beach, DE; SR 1 and Cave Neck Road Grade Separated Interchange in Milton, DE; and SR 5 and Harmons Hill Road Intersection Improvements in Millsboro, DE.
