About The Position

AECOM is seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to be based in Latham, NY or Buffalo, NY. This position is expected to begin Spring/Summer 2027. AECOM takes on complex challenges and pioneers innovative solutions in areas such as transportation, buildings, water, governments, energy, and the environment. The Transportation business line focuses on building, modernizing, and expanding transportation projects, utilizing expertise in planning, designing, and managing transportation systems, as well as restoring and replacing aging infrastructure.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.
Experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD.
Previous internship experience in a transportation discipline.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation.
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Builds analytic and design skills.
Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
Performs work in accordance with agreed-upon budget and schedule under supervision.
