Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years as a foreman/supervisor in the highway heavy civil construction
  • Willingness to travel
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and practices
  • Must be familiar with heavy equipment
  • Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to work with tools and equipment such as, power and non-power tools
  • Frequently sit, stand, walk, crouch, kneel, climb and periodically lift up to 50lbs
  • Positive attitude and possess excellent motivational skills
  • Time management, multitasking, and prioritization are crucial
  • Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies

Responsibilities

  • Instill Safety as a top priority
  • Provides on-site supervision and direction to crew members
  • Familiar with project specifications and ability to understand plans
  • Establish and adjust work sequences to meet schedule, using knowledge of capacities of equipment and assigned personnel
  • Ensure crew time cards are filled out and submitted weekly
  • Fill out daily foreman reports
  • Analyze and resolve issues that may arise unexpectedly
  • Ability to explain and understands survey and grade staking (Lasers, Transits, and GPS)
  • Manage all excavating activities for your crew
  • Other duties may be assigned
