About The Position

This position is for a Civil Foreman, initially temporary with the potential for full-time employment. The role involves supervising multi-craft personnel on various projects, primarily in refinery and other industrial settings. Key responsibilities include scheduling and coordinating subcontract work, ensuring workers have necessary tools and equipment, monitoring workmanship for quality, managing tool and equipment usage, and overseeing material requisitions. The foreman will also ensure adherence to current design documents and approved changes, collaborate with construction project managers and field engineers on project scope, budget, and timelines, and communicate daily work expectations to crews. Daily reports, including timesheets, safety rules, and job scope analysis, are also part of the role. The foreman is expected to motivate and train craft workers to complete projects safely, on-time, and within budget.

Requirements

  • Strong technical knowledge of formwork systems, reinforcement and concrete structures and installation
  • Knowledge of engineering and construction methods and processes customarily acquired over time through specialized instruction and experience
  • Five or more years of experience as a Foreman
  • Seven or more years of experience in the industrial civil construction sector required
  • Must have a valid driver license
  • Clean driving record
  • TWIC Card
  • Basic Plus Safety Card
  • Must be willing to travel on occassion
  • Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays and 12-hour shifts

  • NCCER Certification Strongly Preferred
  • Associates or Bachelors in Related Field of Study Strongly Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supervise multi-craft personnel on various projects in refinery and other settings
  • Schedule and coordinate subcontract work and ensure workers have required tools and equipment to be productive
  • Evaluate and monitor workmanship to ensure quality work is being completed
  • Monitor tool and equipment usage on the site and oversee preparation of field material requisitions for tools and consumables
  • Ensure the most current design documents are used to complete work and all design changes are approved prior to implementation
  • Work with construction project managers and field engineers to review documents, scope of work, budget and timelines to stay within budget and on schedule
  • Communicate any daily work expectations to work crews in a clear and concise manner
  • Ensure daily reports are completed including timesheets, safety rules, and job scope analysis
  • Motivate and train craft workers to complete projects safely, on-time, and within budget
