About The Position

We are looking for a Mid-level Civil or Environmental Engineer to join our Industrial Commercial Energy Team to improve infrastructure in our Detroit or Taylor office. The candidate must have a bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, and five to ten years of similar work experience. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 30 days of employment.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required
5-10 years of experience is required.

Nice To Haves

Fundamentals of Engineering and ability to test for PE preferred
Experience with AutoDesk Civil 3D is preferred.
Experience with Engineering based programs (GasCalc, Pipeline Toolbox, BoreAid, and other similiar engineering software) is preferred.

Responsibilities

Design various site development projects including commercial, institutional, and residential plans and analysis.
Prepare design reports and construction plans using client, local, state, or other applicable standards.
Coordinate preparation of specifications and permit submittals.
Prepare preliminary project cost estimates and evaluate quantities.
Document design changes and communications.
Conduct on-site observations as needed.
Prepare project status and other reports.
Assist in the preparation of proposals.
Assist Project Managers as needed.
Attend client, public, project, and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, preconstruction, etc.
Attend seminars and/or training classes.
Maintain excellent client relations.
Maintain a safe working environment.
