About The Position

Apex Companies is a rapidly growing consulting and engineering firm recognized for its industry-leading growth. They are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Civil/Environmental Engineer to join their Marathon, FL office. This role involves working under experienced professionals on municipal and environmental projects, including water/wastewater systems, site development, and stormwater management. It offers an opportunity to build foundational skills, gain hands-on project experience, and grow within a supportive engineering environment.

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering (or closely related field).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and self-management abilities.
• Sponsorship not available now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

• Engineer Intern (EI) certification preferred or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Internship or co-op experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior engineers and project managers in the planning, design, permitting, and documentation of municipal infrastructure projects.
• Develop preliminary plans, calculations, and technical drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software.
• Perform field investigations, review reports and drawings, and assist in analyzing data to inform engineering solutions.
• Help ensure designs and deliverables meet local, state, and federal regulations.
• Work closely with internal staff, clients, and external stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and addressing technical inquiries.
• Pursue professional development opportunities, stay current with industry best practices, and obtain professional licensure.
