Robson Forensic is seeking an experienced Civil Environmental or Chemical Engineer to investigate incidents and determine why they occurred. The role applies deep industry knowledge of wastewater and industrial air pollution mitigation system design and implementation, wastewater treatment facilities, landfills, and chemical safety protocols—including personal protective equipment assessment—to forensic investigations. Prior forensic experience is not required; Robson Forensic will train the successful candidate to apply their expertise in a forensic setting. The position involves investigating civil environmental engineering incidents, analyzing procedures against applicable standards and practices, writing scientifically sound reports, and providing expert testimony. Investigations assess decision-making, operational procedures, and the standard of care. Potential case areas include environmental decontamination and remediation, wastewater and landfill standards of care, environmental health and safety compliance, and environmental chemical release. Approximately 20% of the role involves travel for training, inspections, and sworn testimony at depositions or trials. The remainder involves investigation, analysis, and report writing, both independently and collaboratively. The expert manages a portfolio of 50–70 projects or clients and participates in a firm of more than 100 scientists, engineers, and other professionals that offers and receives support and mentoring. Locations include Miami Lakes or Palm Beach Gardens, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; Las Vegas, Nevada; Dublin, Ohio; Lancaster, Pennsylvania; and Irving, Texas, which is identified as hybrid.
