About The Position
Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Engineering Project Manager to join its Land Development practice in Roanoke, Virginia. The role leads diverse projects, including multi-family and mixed-use developments and public infrastructure such as schools, parks, and fire stations. The manager guides teams through zoning entitlements, site plan approvals, and construction support in a collaborative, fast-paced work environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in land development.
- Strong project management and client communication skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related software.
- High energy, creativity, flexibility, patience, and ability to work independently at a dynamic pace.

- Professional registration (P.E., L.S., etc.) in one or more states where Timmons Group conducts business is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead design efforts using Civil 3D and other modeling technologies.
- Oversee project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Prepare technical specifications and cost estimates.
- Complete design details and plan sets.
- Coordinate with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to business development.
