About The Position

Halff has a position open for a Water & Wastewater Civil Engineer, with their Texas PE License, to join our Water & Wastewater Utilities team as Project Manager in our Fort Worth, TX office. The ideal candidate would bring at least 1 year of Project Management experience (or 5+ years of engineering experience) in water & wastewater pipeline and/or facility design. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in civil engineering or ABET accredited equivalent engineering degree (preferably in civil or environmental engineering).
  • At least 1 year of Project Management experience (or 5+ years of engineering experience) in water & wastewater pipeline and/or facility design
  • Professional Engineer License (PE) in the State of Texas.
  • Must be proficient with conducting studies, preparing reports, and reading/developing construction plans and specifications.
  • Previous experience in coordinating project deliverables, managing project budgets and schedule, and identifying resolution of issues.

Nice To Haves

  • Water & wastewater treatment, pump/lift stations and water storage experience desirable, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects from planning through delivery, collaborating with project members, multi-practice teams, subconsultants and other stakeholders to make sure deliverables, requirements, schedules, costs and meeting plans are communicated.
  • Assist in development and management of project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
  • Support preparation of scopes of work and budgets.
  • Support in preparation of proposals and RFQs.
  • Conduct studies, prepare reports, and read/develop construction plans and specifications.
  • Manage and work collaboratively with multi-discipline teams and subconsultants.
  • Coordinate project deliverables, manage project budgets and schedule, and identify resolution of issues.
  • Manage quality assurance and control analysis to ensure projects meet or exceed client expectations, Halff requirements, and comply with recognized standards and codes of practice.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor project budgets, allocate resources effectively, and identify opportunities to optimize project efficiency and profitability.
  • Apply technical expertise appropriately by understanding project specific standards, criteria, deliverables and best practices.
  • Support construction administration of projects and lead or assist permitting efforts.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to engineers, EITs, and technical staff, fostering a culture of trust and collaboration within project team.
