About The Position

Our client is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Manager for its Glastonbury, Connecticut office. This position will lead the planning, design, organization, and successful completion of municipal infrastructure projects while ensuring compliance with established schedules, budgets, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control standards. Typical projects will focus on municipal infrastructure and civil engineering, with an emphasis on site planning, permitting, and infrastructure design. Lead and manage municipal infrastructure projects and client relationships throughout the Glastonbury area. Develop professional, cost-effective plans and specifications. Supervise, coordinate, and review the work of engineers, technicians, and designers. Manage project design, schedules, budgets, and deliverables. Delegate project responsibilities and provide technical guidance to team members. Prepare project agreements, including scopes of work, schedules, work plans, and fees. Monitor the financial performance of assigned projects. Support employee career development, performance planning, mentoring, and resource allocation. Build and maintain business relationships while identifying opportunities to expand services with existing clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Civil Engineering preferred.
  • Professional Engineer registration required.
  • Minimum of 15 years of related industry and project management experience.
  • Documented experience serving municipal, civil, water, and wastewater clients in Connecticut.
  • Strong leadership and people-management skills, with the ability to inspire, communicate, support, and mentor.
  • Strong mathematical and technical skills.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
