Civil Engineering Intern - Infrastructure (Summer 2027)
About The Position
Stantec is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern to support its Community Development work in Ft. Myers, Florida. The intern will work as a team member on infrastructure project tasks under the guidance and direction of a Senior Engineer with more than 25 years of diverse experience. Projects may include municipal utilities, civil aspects of energy grid improvements, private site development, and federal agency expansions. Stantec’s Tallahassee office is a regional center of expertise for federal government site development design throughout the southeastern United States and beyond. This part-time or full-time opportunity is described for Summer 2027. Duties may be assigned or changed at any time, and the listed activities are not comprehensive.
Requirements
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy in AutoCAD, word processing, Excel, and other standard office software.
Nice To Haves
- Pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Develop construction plans through CAD drafting.
- Participate in field visits and site reviews.
- Assist with design calculations and report preparation.
- Assist in developing engineers’ estimates.
- Perform other entry-level engineering duties as needed to support infrastructure projects.
