About The Position

Egis is seeking summer Civil Engineering Interns in Pennsylvania. Under the direction of an experienced Project Manager, the intern will support roadway, bridge, and/or traffic engineering design and assist project teams with developing plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates. The role also includes conducting site visits, maintaining project documentation, and assisting project engineers and project managers with assignments as needed. The position is part of an organization delivering transportation and other infrastructure solutions for public and private clients.

Requirements

• Ability to graduate from an accredited engineering college program with at least a Bachelor of Science in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• EIT certification or the ability to obtain it prior to graduation.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in engineering.
• Experience with CADD software.

Responsibilities

• Perform roadway, bridge, and/or traffic engineering design under the direction of an experienced Project Manager.
• Work with the project team to develop plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates.
• Conduct site visits and perform other generally accepted responsibilities associated with the position.
• Manage and maintain project documentation.
• Assist project engineers and project managers with assignments as needed.
