About The Position

As an Intern at LJA in our Land Development department, you will be able to explore our exciting and entrepreneurial culture which will allow you to think creatively, solve problems, and meet the needs of our clients daily. Our Summer Internship Program runs from mid-May through the first week of August and is a fully in-person experience, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. As an LJA intern, you'll gain hands-on experience working alongside experienced professionals and contributing to real-world projects. You'll be integrated into a team, take on meaningful assignments, and develop the technical and professional skills needed to launch your career.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have completed at least one year of college
  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science, Civil or Environmental Engineering is required.
  • Great work-ethic and are a highly motivated student with a strong academic performance
  • Have sincere desire to gain experience in and knowledge of the company and industry
  • Good organizational and communication (oral and written) skills
  • Focused and attention to detail with ability to identify discrepancies
  • Collaborate and work well in a team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel

Responsibilities

  • Perform engineering assignments with direction from experienced engineers
  • Spend time shadowing actual operations and learn about project phases
  • Will have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of engineering
  • Experience our culture and participate in social engagement activities and learn about our sectors and services
