About The Position

Stantec Consulting Services Inc. is seeking Civil Engineers for multiple positions in Houston, TX. The role involves preparing technical design and construction documents, performing engineering design calculations, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and assisting with project schedules and cost estimations. Responsibilities also include supporting permitting efforts, reviewing shop drawings, and responding to contractor requests for information.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 5 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering, or a related field, and 2 years of related work experience.
  • 2 years of experience with: Preparing engineering plans and project management documents using AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera P6, PowerBI and MS Project.
  • 2 years of experience with: Applying engineering codes, standards, and regulatory requirements that govern municipal and industrial infrastructure design.
  • 2 years of experience with: Supporting both design and construction phase services including permitting and bidding for water/wastewater projects.
  • 2 years of experience with: Interpreting sketches and drawings, and working on all phases of engineering document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
  • Active U.S. Professional Engineer license.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare technical design and construction documents such as drawings and specifications including design reports for municipal and industrial water/wastewater projects.
  • Perform engineering design calculations including hydraulic calculations, infrastructure sizing, and pipe sizing.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams such as structural, electrical, mechanical, geotechnical, to integrate design elements into project deliverables.
  • Assist in the development of project schedules, cost estimation, level of effort (LOE), and support permitting efforts and coordination with local, state and federal regulatory agencies for approvals.
  • Review shop drawing submittments and respond to Contractor requests for information (RFIs) to comply with contract documents.
