Civil Engineer (E.I.T)
About The Position
Kleinfelder is seeking a Civil Engineer (E.I.T.) to join its team on development projects in the Mid-Atlantic region, including land development and power grid resiliency work. The role may also support commercial, industrial, solar, and mining development projects. The position is available in Hanover, Maryland, and Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The engineer will help develop designs and plans for site layout and grading, erosion and sediment control, post-construction stormwater management, NPDES permit applications, land development applications, and zoning compliance. Candidates who receive an offer must satisfactorily complete employment reference checks, verification of professional licensure and/or educational credentials, a motor vehicle report, and a comprehensive background check.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- 3–6 years of experience in erosion and sediment control design and post-construction stormwater design.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Hydroflow.
Nice To Haves
- Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) certificate.
- Understanding of land development processes.
- Understanding of zoning ordinance review and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop site layout and grading designs and plans.
