What You’ll Do Depending on experience level, responsibilities may include: Collecting, compiling, and analyzing site data including surveys, GIS data, blueprints, subsurface utilities, maps, and geotechnical information. Assisting with or leading design tasks for civil infrastructure projects. Conducting research and site observations to evaluate existing and proposed conditions. Supporting preparation of engineering calculations, plans, specifications, and technical reports. Verifying site characteristics and assisting with environmental, design, and construction-related considerations. Documenting field activities and generating accurate, concise project records. Coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable codes, permits, and industry standards. Participating in field work, construction observation, and client meetings. Contributing to a culture of safety, accountability, and ethical decision-making. Continuing professional development and technical training. What We’re Looking For Education Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or closely related discipline required. EIT certification preferred (or ability to obtain). PE licensure welcomed and supported. Experience Entry-level candidates to experienced engineers encouraged to apply. Relevant internship, co-op, or professional experience in civil infrastructure projects preferred. Technical Skills Familiarity with civil design software (AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar). Basic understanding of design/build processes. Working knowledge of environmental and construction regulations. Technical writing and documentation skills. Professional Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. Ability to balance office and field responsibilities. Clear communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. Self-motivated with strong attention to detail. Ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment while working independently when needed. Work Environment 40 hours per week Occasional travel depending on project needs Ability to work schedules aligned with project demands Field work may include walking uneven terrain, lifting equipment, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
