About The Position

SEH is currently searching for a Civil Engineer to join their talented Civil team. This role involves supporting the planning, design, and delivery of transportation, municipal, and site development projects. The engineer will use AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop designs for various infrastructure elements, prepare construction documents, coordinate with project teams and clients, perform site visits, and manage assigned project tasks. This opportunity is open to candidates residing in Minnetonka, MN.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • EIT certification or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
  • Ability to collaborate in-office a minimum of three (3) days per week.
  • Ability to travel as needed for meetings, client consultations, and site visits.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) to Five (5) years of civil engineering experience.
  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Experience preparing construction plans, specifications, quantities, and cost estimates.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Previous civil engineering, design, or construction experience.
  • Ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, and topographic maps.
  • Experience coordinating with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, design, and delivery of transportation, municipal, and site development projects.
  • Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop designs for roadways, trails, sidewalks, utility systems, and site improvements.
  • Prepare construction plans, specifications, quantity calculations, cost estimates, and technical reports for public and private infrastructure projects.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, and multidisciplinary teams to support successful project delivery.
  • Perform site visits, field reviews, and construction observation activities as needed.
  • Manage assigned project tasks and communicate progress to project teams and supervisors.
