About The Position

The Civil Engineer will analyze survey reports, maps, and other data to plan and execute projects. This role involves compiling and submitting permit applications to local, state, and federal agencies, ensuring projects comply with various regulations. The engineer will perform or oversee soil testing activities and use design software to plan and design transportation systems, hydraulic systems, and waste/water containment facilities in line with industry and government standards. Additionally, the position requires performing or overseeing surveying operations to establish reference points, grades, and elevations to guide construction. The engineer will present findings to the public and clients on topics such as bid proposals, environmental impact statements, and various project designs. This role also includes managing the design, construction, repair, maintenance, and replacement of public and private infrastructure.

Requirements

• B.S. in Civil Engineering
• Construction compliance experience
• Experience in preparing plans in AutoCAD
• Work effectively as a team member
• Exercise initiative and innovative thinking
• Organize, prioritize and perform multiple tasks

Nice To Haves

• Louisiana DOTD project experience preferred
