As a Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in our Transportation and Drainage Engineering Group, you will be instrumental in developing and delivering critical engineering solutions by leveraging your expertise across transportation, roadway, grading/earthwork, drainage, and stormwater management. You will manage complex projects effectively from the initial concept phase through implementation.

Requirements

  • Licensed as a PE in New Mexico.
  • 5-10 years of demonstrated expertise and success in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to solve problems.
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and mentor/train staff.
  • Experience managing engineering projects with public sector clients.

  • Strong Transportation Engineering technical skills.
  • Fluent in Civil 3D AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution of roadway and stormwater projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Apply technical expertise to solve complex engineering challenges, providing guidance to project teams and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Lead detailed studies supporting solutions for stormwater infrastructure and drainage management planning.
  • Use industry-leading software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, to design and model infrastructure solutions.
  • Utilize Civil 3D AutoCAD to create, design and produce construction plan sets on behalf of clients.
  • Support project budgeting, prepare cost estimates, and manage resources effectively throughout the project lifecycle.
