About The Position

Kimley-Horn's Roseville, California office is seeking a Civil Engineer to join its Land Development team. This is not a remote position. The role involves site development engineering and project management for residential and commercial projects, with a variety of land development site designs. The engineer will collaborate with engineers, designers, industry professionals, jurisdictions, contractors, clients, and internal and external partners.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license, or ability to obtain one within 12 months.
• Experience with site civil design, permitting, and applicable software, including hydrology modeling programs, storm drainage programs, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
• Experience with task management, concept design, and assisting with project management tasks.
• Familiarity with client coordination, attending client meetings, and overseeing quality standards.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Ability to build plan sets and other construction documents.
• Design experience involving utilities, site layout, drainage, due diligence, and permitting.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for residential and commercial projects.
• Work on a variety of land development site designs.
• Conduct research, coordination, cost estimating, and permitting for land disturbance.
• Prepare bid packages and technical specifications.
• Assist in monitoring project progress, budgets, and schedules.
• Build meaningful internal and external professional relationships.
• Work collaboratively with engineers, designers, industry professionals, jurisdictions, and contractors.
• Coordinate with clients, attend client meetings, and oversee quality standards.
• Build plan sets and other construction documents.
• Design utilities, site layouts, and drainage, and support due diligence and permitting.
