About The Position
Cass County is hiring a full-time Civil Engineer in West Fargo, ND. This role involves overseeing a variety of infrastructure projects from design through construction, moving seamlessly between fieldwork and office engineering. Responsibilities include supervising contractors, ensuring safety and quality, preparing cost estimates and reports, conducting surveys, managing infrastructure databases, and serving as the technical expert for road, bridge, and drainage projects. The role also involves flood preparation and response, communicating with residents, and coordinating recovery efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in civil engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer License
- Proven experience in road, bridge, and drainage design and construction
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, databases, spreadsheets, and technical software
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Knowledge of surveying and construction materials testing
Responsibilities
