About The Position

DLZ Corporation is seeking new college graduates for entry-level roles across multiple disciplines in its Lansing, Waterford, Detroit, and Saint Joseph, Michigan offices. Opportunities are available in civil engineering, structural/bridge engineering, surveying, construction services, water resources, and transportation. In this role, employees apply foundational knowledge to engineering and design assignments in their chosen field, working under the guidance of experienced professionals and gaining hands-on experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, such as surveying or construction management.
• Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification, or willingness to obtain it within one year of hire.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to safely navigate construction and project sites.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant internship experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with AutoCAD and MicroStation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering, construction, and design projects in the employee’s area of expertise.
• Assist in preparing reports, cost estimates, and technical studies.
• Perform field testing of soils, concrete, and other materials.
• Prepare detailed sketches and diagrams for technicians.
• Review and check detailed drawings and layouts.
• Document project activities clearly and concisely.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and responsibly.
