About The Position
This entry-level civil engineering position focuses on material takeoffs (quantity calculations) and plan preparation for municipal water and sewer projects, working under senior management. This position is responsible for analyzing plans, specifications, and site conditions to assist in the development of plans to hand off to sales and estimators to proceed with cost estimates for municipal, commercial, industrial, and private sector work.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel for calculations and data management.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain within 6-12 months.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering plans.
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- 1 - 3 years of experience

Responsibilities
- Perform detailed takeoffs for water/sewer projects, including pipe lengths (PVC, Ductile Iron), fittings, manholes, valves, fire hydrants, and trench excavation volumes.
