We are an entrepreneurial, multidisciplinary firm across North America with a history of successfully delivering some of the most complex infrastructure projects. We are currently looking to grow and enhance our transit, rail control systems, structural, roadway, and tunneling practices. This is an opportunity for exposure from our talented and experienced staff based in our New York office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
  • EIT preferred
  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Basic knowledge of Microstation, Inroads/Openroads.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in developing civil design of multi-modal transportation projects per AASHTO, MUTCD, and applicable standards and policies including geometric design, traffic design, MOT, pavement design, and stormwater design.
  • Assists in developing civil plans for infrastructure projects.
  • Assist in performing engineering design tasks for pavement management and pavement design projects from preliminary to final design.
  • Assist in developing pavement designs per AASHTO ’93 guidelines and applicable design standards for state and local DOTs.
  • Assists in developing conceptual design, preliminary engineering, traffic analysis, project development, and environmental review of multi-modal transportation projects.
  • Assist in performing technical analyses and reviews of infrastructure projects.
  • Assists in managing day-to-day activities of the project including interagency coordination, public participation, technical review, and other related activities.
  • Assists in project management functions to ensure projects meet the defined schedules, cost estimates, and performance/technical measures and specifications. This includes development of Project Management Plans, Scopes of Work, Cost Estimates, and other project management related activities.
  • Assists in preparing reports, plans, and studies.
  • Assists in developing proposals, presentations, and reports.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
