About The Position

As a Civil Engineer for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc., (CEC) in our Monroeville, PA office, you will work under the direction of project managers and senior staff to assist clients in the waste management industry. You’ll take part in preparing permit applications, performing analyses for stormwater, landfill gas and slope stability, and performing construction quality assurance. Both office and field work will be involved. Field services will include performing construction quality assurance (CQA) associated with construction of landfills and other types of waste processing or disposal sites. Office services will require basic understanding and application of civil engineering analysis and design principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related technical field
• Sufficient physical stamina to work outdoors under various field conditions
• Willingness to learn new skills and work in a team setting
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

• Previous internship preferred
• Experience in the analysis, design, permitting, and CQA of waste disposal facilities, preferred
• Engineering in Training (EIT) or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification preferred
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D
