As an Entry Level Engineer, you will focus on developing plan views, cross sections, construction details for the buildings to be constructed. An ideal candidate is interested in producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines and procedures. Precise, consistent work output is essential and requires the patience to handle and complete one task at a time. This position is designed to develop a valued technical expert, who can deliver quality work consistently with a focus on supporting our sales & management team in a stable work environment.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field preferred.
Knowledge of construction methods, materials, structural design, and applicable building codes, including IBC and ASCE 7.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and structural plans.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, consistent, and error-free work.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work at a steady, methodical pace while managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

Developing plan views, cross sections, construction details for the buildings to be constructed.
Producing high quality, detailed work based on established standards, guidelines and procedures.
Performing structural calculations and material quantity take-offs.
Learning and applying knowledge of EPS products, estimating procedures, and company standards.
Answering technical questions and collaborating with customers, management, and peers.
Following established procedures and guidelines while exercising sound judgment within clearly defined responsibilities.
Learning, participating in training, and taking initiative to support team members and projects as needed.
Working at a steady, methodical pace while managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
