About The Position

S&ME is seeking a full-time, entry-level Civil Engineer to join their Civil/Energy team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role offers hands-on experience and mentorship from Professional Engineers on infrastructure projects within the Energy, Industrial, and Government sectors. Responsibilities include conceptual design, engineering analysis, calculations, and cost estimation for projects such as pipelines, renewable energy facilities, and water resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field
  • 0-2 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design projects
  • Aspiration to take the Professional Engineer (P.E.) exam within the next 4-5 years.
  • Strong prioritization skills and well-organized
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and stormwater/utility modeling software, a plus
  • Candidates must comply with our Fleet Management, Substance Policy, and Reference Check requirements.
  • Only candidates with valid employment eligibility (I-9) will be considered.
