RQ is a privately held, full-service design-build firm, specializing in fast-track commercial construction for the Department of Defense, and offering comprehensive solutions that integrate design, engineering, and construction under one roof. We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our Civil Engineering team in Jacksonville, FL. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you'll manage multiple unique projects, ensuring they meet U.S. military design standards. Your day may include drafting developing site plans, preparing grading and drainage designs, conducting site visits to monitor progress, and resolving design challenges. Beyond technical work, you'll collaborate with teams, mentor staff, and help align departmental strategies to ensure project success.

Requirements

  • A BS degree in Civil Engineering is the minimum formal education required for this position.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) License required.
  • Ten (10) or more years' experience in civil design, project delivery or equivalent in the industrial construction projects (foundation and below aspects: design land development, building pads, infrastructure for new builds, etc.) required with six (6) or more years' experience in drainage, grading, and utility design.
  • Specific software literacy required: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MS Work and MS Excel.
  • Travel to jobsites, as needed, is required.
  • All candidates considered for hire must provide evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization at the time of hire.
  • Additionally, all candidates must successfully pass a drug screening and commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base (if applicable for position being hired for).

  • Project management with the Department of Defense (DoD) is preferred.
