About The Position
BL Companies is seeking a mid-level Civil Engineer with a focus on Land Development to join our Norwood, MA office. This role is ideal for an individual with 4+ years of experience in land development, concept plan preparation, site design, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control design. Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in utility design and/or land development, concept plan preparation, site design, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
- BSCE
- EIT Certification is preferred.
- PE is a plus
- Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities
- Grade sites and design of post-construction stormwater management systems.
- In-Depth use of Civil 3D to prepare alignments, surfaces, cut profiles, and generate contours.
- Assist the Senior Engineer in procuring municipal Land Development and NPDES approvals, including research regulations and attending agency meetings.
- Coordinate with project team across multiple offices on design, permitting and construction components.
- Prepare technical reports and plans to acquire permits and permit modifications during construction.
- Research permit requirements and local regulations
- Provide support and assist Sr team members.
