About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Civil Engineer IV to join their transportation team in Franklin, TN. This is a casual part-time variable position. The role involves serving as a senior technical resource, providing specialized input to studies and designs, developing procedures for high-quality work, participating in interdisciplinary reviews, preparing construction cost estimates, and contributing to PS&E packages. The engineer will also perform quality control reviews and prepare technical specification sections, as well as provide input for engineering budgets and schedules.

Requirements

BS/BA Civil Engineer, Planning or related field and 6 years of related experience and/or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Nice To Haves

Experience in transportation engineering or planning TDOT projects
Experience as a task leader for transportation DOT projects.

Responsibilities

Senior technical resource may serve as technical advisor for team
Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
Prepares technical specification sections.
Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
