About The Position

WGM Group is hiring a Civil Engineer Intern for summer 2027 in its Missoula office. The intern will gain exposure to a variety of project types and disciplines at a multidisciplinary engineering firm focused on planning and design, surveying, environmental services, and natural resource management. Depending on experience, the intern may help design plans for public capital improvement projects, commercial sites, and subdivisions.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment.
• Proactive approach and willingness to take on new challenges.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in AutoCAD Civil3D.

Responsibilities

• Assist with projects involving civil engineering tasks, planning, and design.
• Produce redlines on engineering documents using Civil3D.
• Provide survey field crew support, including grade stake computations and marking.
• Perform construction observation and water and sewer infrastructure testing.
• Assist with preparing cost estimate quantities.
• Conduct traffic counts.
• Maintain project files and databases.
• Support development of reports, calculation packages, and specifications.
• Depending on experience, assist with designing plans for public capital improvement projects, commercial sites, and subdivisions.
