About The Position

We're looking for a Civil Engineer with an Engineer Intern (EI) certification to join our Kalispell team and contribute to a wide variety of land development and infrastructure projects. As part of our collaborative, full-service design team, you'll work alongside engineers, surveyors, architects, planners, clients, contractors, and public agencies to help deliver practical, high-quality solutions that make a lasting impact. From subdivisions and stormwater systems to water infrastructure, site grading, erosion control, and roadway improvements, you'll have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience across a diverse range of projects. We're seeking a motivated professional who enjoys problem-solving, values teamwork, and is eager to continue developing their technical skills. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam and hold Engineer Intern (EI) certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of civil engineering design experience.
  • Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D drafting and design.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and site development practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support project engineers and project managers throughout project design and construction phases.
  • Assist in developing practical, efficient, and constructable solutions that meet project objectives and client needs.
  • Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams to develop civil engineering concepts, plans, specifications, and construction documents.
  • Coordinate with public agencies, clients, contractors, manufacturers, vendors, and internal project teams.
  • Utilize industry software to assist with grading, drainage, stormwater, water, sewer, and related civil infrastructure designs.
  • Support permitting and agency coordination efforts as required.
  • Respond to contractor questions and provide support during construction.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment while continuing to develop technical knowledge and professional skills.
