About The Position

Entellus, Inc. is seeking an Engineer In Training to join our Transportation team in Phoenix, Arizona. Entellus currently has many exciting projects underway, and we are looking for a full-time Engineer In Training with strong technical ability, good communication skills, and enthusiasm to join our growing team. This position will require you to work with other engineers, project managers, and technical staff to produce plans, specifications, reports, and cost estimates for municipal infrastructure projects such as the design of roadways, drainage facilities, site grading, water, and sanitary sewer utilities.

Requirements

  • BS in Civil Engineering with 2+ years of experience.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD/AutoCAD Civil 3D design package and Microsoft Office applications (strong Excel skills are a plus).
  • Must be able to interact and effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with Entellus staff and external clients.
  • Ability to prioritize special projects and daily workload to ensure that all work is completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Detail-oriented, professional attitude, team player, and self-starter.

Nice To Haves

  • Arizona EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design roadway, pedestrian, water/wastewater infrastructure, civil site, and related projects.
  • Update designs based on manager and client feedback.
  • Assist in preparing plans, specifications, estimates, and reports.
  • Coordinate with utility companies during the design process.
  • Assist in the preparation or modification of reports, specifications, plans, construction schedules, environmental impact studies, permits, and project designs.
  • Perform technical research and investigation.
  • Ensure the accuracy of completed tasks using established Entellus QA/QC processes.
  • Perform drafting daily
