About The Position

Wiley|Wilson, a 100% employee-owned architecture and engineering firm, is seeking a new graduate to join their Civil Engineering team in Lynchburg, VA. As a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT), you will work with experienced engineers on site design and stormwater management projects for Local, Federal, and State Government clients. This role offers hands-on experience across multiple design phases, aiming to build the technical foundation needed for a Professional Engineer (PE) license. You will prepare calculations, reports, and design drawings, assist with site design and stormwater management, participate in field investigations, conduct research, and help with quantity take-offs and cost estimates. Collaboration with engineers and design professionals across disciplines is expected. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution
  • Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam passed by the start date
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • A solid work ethic and eagerness to learn
  • Interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Civil 3D experience preferred
