This position involves serving as a project lead for other engineers and technicians, managing capital improvement and operating projects, reviewing land use applications and private development plans for public improvements, administering City and outside agency contracts, and managing project budgets. The Civil Engineer II is distinguished by managing capital projects as the licensed engineer of record, reviewing more complex land use applications, carrying out assignments with greater scope of responsibility and financial authority, managing multiple projects, and providing professional expertise, guidance, and training.
