About The Position

EMH&T is seeking a Civil Engineer (EI) to join their Commercial Site Development team in Columbus, OH. This role involves working under the guidance of experienced Engineers and Project Managers who provide mentorship and support for career development. A dedicated support team will train new hires on drafting and design standards. The Commercial Development team focuses on commercial site development design for industries such as data centers, hospitals, higher education, and manufacturing.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
0 - 4 years experience.
Ability to effectively apply technical training and problem-solving skills to current assignments.
A self-starter that demonstrates dependability and consistent work effort.
Effective written and oral communication skills and the ability to express ideas clearly.
Ability to work independently but also enjoys collaborating with team members in a supportive and cooperative environment.
Excellent planning and organization skills with an eye for detail.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Work experience, including internships or co-op experiences in civil, construction, or a related area.
Exposure to engineering consulting firm environment.

Responsibilities

Develop plan drawings and calculations using AutoCAD Civil 3D for projects including sanitary systems, stormwater management, and roadway design.
Produce base maps for plan development, generate 3D surface models, corridors, profiles, and cross-sections, and perform drafting tasks.
