Snyder & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Site Development Civil Engineer to join their team in St. Joseph, Missouri. The engineer will contribute to various site development projects, fostering technical and professional growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (EI)
  • 2+ years of experience in consulting or related civil engineering work
  • Interest or experience in site development and site plan design
  • Progress toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure (Missouri and/or Kansas preferred)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A team-oriented mindset with the ability to contribute independently

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, design, and development of site development projects for public and private clients
  • Assist in preparing site plans, grading, drainage, and utility designs
  • Contribute to project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates
  • Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and internal design teams
  • Stay involved throughout the full project lifecycle — from concept through construction
  • Participate in problem-solving and design discussions to deliver practical, high-quality solutions
