If so, Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is looking for an Assistant Civil Engineer to join the Materials Laboratory of SPU's Project Delivery and Engineering Branch. This role will support and manage materials related issues on Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) and various less projects across all city departments. The Assistant Civil Engineer position will provide and coordinate approval and acceptance of materials with other staff and will work on moderately complex CIP in a diverse team environment. The roles and responsibilities of this position vary based on the project and business needs. Work in this position will be a mixture of office setting, construction site, and construction materials laboratory dependent on the demands of CIP. Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is a community-centered utility that delivers vital services to Seattle residents and businesses including drinking water, drainage and wastewater, and garbage/recycling/compost.
