About The Position

Apex is hiring a Civil EIT to be based in Richland, WA. This is an excellent opportunity for civil professionals to deepen their technical expertise and take on increased responsibility across a diverse range of public and private projects. Our Greater Washington Division is home to three offices located in Walla Walla, Richland, and Vancouver, bringing together a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Requirements

• A bachelor’s in civil engineering
• 2+ years of experience in civil engineering design tasks for municipal public works and private development projects
• Proficient skills in AutoCAD and Civil 3D highly desired
• Obtained Engineer in Training (EIT) license
• Familiarity with Hydro-CAD stormwater modeling software
• Flexibility and creativity in project approaches and openness to learn and develop your career
• Knowledge of stormwater analysis software and reporting
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

• Receive direction on engineering tasks and maintain active communication with project managers.
• Effectively manage multiple assignments and prioritize with input from project managers and professional engineers.
• Willingness to work in fast paced environments across multiple engineering disciplines and project types.
• Preparation of construction documents required to construct both public and private infrastructure projects.
• Prepare written reports detailing design and functionality of stormwater systems in accordance with local and state stormwater requirements.
• Prepare detailed stormwater models.
• Prepare utility designs for stormwater, municipal water and sewer systems.
• Design of roadways and preparation of grading analysis for sites.
• Deliver engineering design projects using Autodesk Civil 3D software.
