About The Position
We are sourcing candidates for a Civil Designer position in our Rochester, Buffalo, Latham, Elmira, NY or Scranton, PA office designing plans for municipal engineering projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
- 2- 4 years of experience in drafting and design for engineering plans and documents.
- Understand, analyze, and process complex technical information and materials.
- Strong communication, teamwork and curiosity about renewable engineering projects.
- EIT certification or ability to obtain within 12 months.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of drafting methods and procedures using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Revit (preferred, not required).
Responsibilities
- Work independently and collaboratively on planning, design, and/or research on conventional renewable engineering projects.
- Produce drawings using computer aided drafting systems AutoCad, Civil 3D and Revit.
- Evaluate, analyze, interpret, select, and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for renewable engineering projects.
- Conduct site visits and assist with construction observation and data collection.
- Support senior engineer in evaluating design alternatives and solving technical challenges.
- Collaborate with other divisions and departments in a professional manner.
- Engage in design training and mentoring activities that build a strong technical foundation.
