About The Position

Kimley-Horn is looking for a CAD Operator to join our Transmission and Distribution team in Denver, Colorado (CO)! The person in this position will use basic computer drafting software to generate site plans and construction drawings for Kimley-Horn projects. This is an in-office role.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn
• Ability to work independently and with a team

Nice To Haves

• Associates degree preferred
• Proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products preferred

Responsibilities

• Use basic computer drafting software to generate site plans and construction drawings for Kimley-Horn projects
• Develop expertise with AutoCAD and PSL-CADD to design overhead Transmission and Distribution lines and perform finite-element analysis and other calculations
• Design and produce sets of plans
• Implement and manage AutoCAD drafting and plan preparation standards
• Assist in maintaining drawing database
• Perform routine analysis to check accuracy of data
• Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards
